Hi, I’m Rachael.

As an only child that grew up in rural areas of British Columbia where there wasn’t much to do, I relied heavily on my imagination for entertainment. Always an avid reader, (early favorites included: Are You There God? It’s Me Margaret, Go Ask Alice and the Sweet Valley High collection) I started creating my own fiction and winning contests as early as second grade, or as we say in Canada, grade two.

Cut to my living in Los Angeles attending a Thanksgiving party where I showed the then Editor-in-Chief of IGN.com my latest manuscript and got my first job as an Entertainment Journalist where I flew around the country doing press and reviewing movies, another love of mine.

That eventually parlayed into signing on with a creative agency where I began copywriting. Since then, I’ve written copy that ranges from provocative to corporate, from billboards to marketing books and pretty much everything in between.

I love thoughtful communication and the impact it can have. It’s my talent, my passion, and what I’ve stuck with. It’s arguably the only thing I’m good at, though my lasagne’s pretty dope.
